A great way to try our super bulky yarn HELLO MERINO, add color accents to your garments or knit a colorful masterpiece!

Made from 100% Australian merino wool, this super bulky weight yarn is the best yarn for easy, quick and cozy knitting of your accessories (beanies, scarves, mittens), sweaters, cardigans or chunky warm blankets. The yarn is very soft, warm, not itchy. Excellent yarn for beginners!

  • Fiber: 100% Australian merino wool (21 microns)
  • Meterage: 40-45 m (44-49 yards) per 100 gram skein. 
  • Yarn weight: super Chunky / super bulky / Yarn Weight 6
  • Thickness of a yarn: approx. 5-7 mm
  • Yarn details: Roving type yarn with a slight twist
  • Average tension: 7 stitches + 9 rows per 10 cm / 4 (using 15 mm needles)
  • Recommended needles: 10-12 mm (for beanies), 12-15 mm (for scarves, snoods, sweaters, cardigans)
  • Care: hand wash with a cool water and without any agitation. Lay flat to dry.

Stockinette stitch (using 15 mm needles): 7 stitches + 9 rows per 10 cm / 4 inches

Needles recommendations
  • 10-12 mm (for beanies, mittens, socks)
  • 12-15 mm (for scarves, snoods, sweaters, cardigans)
  • 15 mm and more for blankets.

  • Hats & Beanies – 1 ball (200 grams)
  • Cowls - 1 ball for a circle snood, 2 balls for infinity cowl /scarf
  • Scarves – 2-8 balls (depending on a size)
  • Sweaters and cardigans  – 4– 8 balls (depending on a size)
  • Blanket 65x145 cm (26x56,5 inches) - approx. 4 balls (800 grams)
  • Blanket 125x125 cm (49x49 inches) - approx. 9 balls (1,8 kg)
Blocking

This yarn does not necessarily need to be blocked after knitting. The yarn opens up the texture during the knitting. Knit and enjoy the garment!

Care

Tender hand wash with a cool water and without any agitation. Lay flat to dry.
