Description

Two-colored striped winter matching set! Includes minimalistic cuffless beanie that features a chunky knit, clean edge for a simple elegant finish and striped pattern and striped knitted snood. Hand knitted from 100% merino wool (18.5 microns) sourced from Italy.

  • Fiber - 100 % extra fine merino wool 18,5 mc (Italy)
  • Color options - the beanie and snood are knitted in two colors. The main color is for the body of the beanie and snood (as black on photos), and the secondary color is for the stripes (as white on photos).
  • Beanies length - the beanie is designed with a slightly high top. You could roll a small cuff yourself if your beanie hat is too high or you feel like changing up your look. The beanie also may be knitted shorter to fit your head closely on top (just leave a message with desired beanie depth in the notes to the order).
  • Pompom finish - The beanie may be decorated by a detachable wool pom-pom of different sizes: large (approx. 13-15cm / 5-6 inches in diameter), medium (approx. 10 cm / 4 inches) or small one (approx. 7 cm / 3 inches).

    Our chunky yarn is 100% handmade. It is hand-spun from 100% extra fine merino wool 18,5 microns from Italy. It is the best and premium merino quality in a market known for its extra softness and silkiness. It is a single ply, popular roving type yarn with a slight twist. Merino yarn goes through all necessary stages from fiber preparation to a spinning on a spinning wheel and washing to make lightly felted. This helps to fix the form of the yarn and get smooth textured surface with a unique look and soft feel. It allows knitwear to be more practical, prevents pilling and shedding.

    Merino Wool Origin and Certifications
    • Extra fine merino wool tops used to the production of our wool come from both Australia and South America and are carefully selected in Italian factory to ensure constant quality over time.
    • Additionally, being of animal origin, the extra fine Merino wool top is biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly.
    • All lots are MULESING FREE. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in a dyeinghouse in Italy which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.

    • Beanie is available in two sizes: standard size (fits most with head circumference 55-58 cm) and larger size (for head circumference 58-60 cm (larger head, men's size, curly hair). For better sizing, you may include a note with your head circumference and desired beanie depth when placing your order.
    • Depth - approx. 25 cm ( 9,8")
    • Width (in a flat position) - depending on size 24-26 cm (9,5-10")
    • Weight - approx. 200 grams

    • Depth - approx. 24 cm (9,5")
    • Circumference - approx. 55 cm (22")

    Care
    • Gentle hand wash (with a cool water, without any agitation, lay flat to dry) is available.
    • Washing machine is also possible (using cold water only, delicate/wool cycle, without agitation, air dry only). But note that washing in a machine will make yarn a little thinner, harder to touch, some softness will be lost. ​
