Chunky knit hat features a giant detachable pompom, big stitches and wide foldover cuff while chunky cable knit scarf features a reversible cable pattern and is knitted from the thinner yarn than beanie but in a matching color. Hand knitted from a high-quality chunky yarn handmade from Italian merino wool.  This oversized winter set  is a true statement piece. Super warm, chunky,  not itchy at all. 

  • Fiber - 100% extra-fine merino wool 18,5 microns (Italy)
  • Fringes finish - The scarf may be decorated with fringes about 15 cm / 6 inches each from both sides of the scarf (additionally to the scarf length).
  • Color options - scarf and fringes, beanie, brim and pom-pom may be made in different colors. Just leave a note about this.

Yarn Details

Our chunky yarn is 100% handmade. It is hand-spun from 100% extra fine merino wool 18,5 microns from Italy. It is the best and premium merino quality in a market known for its extra softness and silkiness. It is a single ply, popular roving type yarn with a slight twist. Merino yarn goes through all necessary stages from fiber preparation to a spinning on a spinning wheel and washing to make lightly felted. This helps to fix the form of the yarn and get smooth textured surface with a unique look and soft feel. It allows knitwear to be more practical, prevents pilling and shedding.

Merino Wool Origin and Certifications
  • Extra fine merino wool tops used to the production of our wool come from both Australia and South America and are carefully selected in Italian factory to ensure constant quality over time.
  • Additionally, being of animal origin, the extra fine Merino wool top is biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly.
  • All lots are MULESING FREE. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in a dyeinghouse in Italy which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.

  • Size - one size fits most women (with head circumference 55-58 cm). For better sizing you may write a note to your order with your head circumference and desired beanie depth.
  • Depth - 22-23 cm (9")
  • Width (in a flat not stretchered position) – 23-24 cm (9-9.4")
  • Weight - 350-400 grams.
Scarf sizes and weight:
  • approx. 23x200 cm (9x78 inches) - 800 grams
  • approx. 23x250 cm (9x98 inches) - 1 kg

Care
  • Gentle hand wash (with a cool water, without any agitation, lay flat to dry) is available.
  • Washing machine is also possible (using cold water only, delicate/wool cycle, without agitation, air dry only). But note that washing in a machine will make yarn thinner, harder to touch, some softness will be lost. ​
