Description

Open front cardigan hand knitted from soft Highland Peruvian wool for a relaxed, cozy and easy layered look. This chunky cardigan has a loose-to-oversized fit, wide long sleeves, ribbed cuffs and a simple open front without buttons.

Please note: the pink cardigan photos show the earlier version of this style, made from our thicker Merino Mini yarn. We have updated this cardigan and now make it from soft Highland Peruvian wool to create a lighter, more flexible and more accessible version. The overall shape and relaxed open-front look remain very similar, but the texture is slightly lighter and less bulky. The blue sample shown in the photos is made from the updated Peruvian wool yarn. 

The cardigan has a chunky handmade texture, but feels more wearable for everyday layering than our extra-super-chunky merino styles. Wear it over dresses, jeans, trousers or loungewear when you want a soft handmade layer without the weight of a jumbo cardigan.

Available in a small curated color palette: Dusty Pink, Yellow, Golden Yellow, Mint and Navy Blue.

Care
  • Gentle hand washing in cool water is recommended. Use a mild wool detergent. Do not rub, twist or agitate the cardigan. Gently squeeze out excess water in a towel and lay flat to dry.
  • After washing, the yarn may lose some of its original fluffy look and become slightly smoother and more compact. This is normal for soft natural wool.
  • A fabric shaver may be used gently if light pilling appears with wear.
  • Machine washing is possible only on a very gentle wool cycle in cool water, but gentle hand washing is recommended for best results.
