Description

Introducing our chunky knit infinity scarf knitting kit! This kit offers a super easy process and quick results. The infinity scarf is knitted from chunky merino wool yarn and includes all the necessary knitting materials. It's a perfect project for beginners and makes for a nice gift idea!

  • Level - Beginner (Cast on, cast off, knit stitches are necessary to know)
  • Time to finish - approx. 3-4 hours
Kit contents:
  • Yarn - 2 skeins (2x200 grams) of Hello Merino yarn
  • Needles (optional) - 1 pair of 12 mm (US 19) straight knitting needles. You may also use 15 mm (US 19) knitting needles if you usually knit tightly or want more loose knitting. Bigger needles will also make a little bigger stretchy infinity scarf.
  • Finishing kit - sewing and felting needles to connect yarn and hide the ends
  • 1 scarf pattern in English

Color option - The scarf may be knitted in one or two colors, and if you prefer a two-color combination, simply leave a note specifying your desired second skein color.

Yarn Details

This knitting kit is made with our Hello Merino yarn, made from 100% Australian merino wool. This super bulky weight yarn is the best yarn for easy, quick and cozy knitting of your accessories (beanies, scarves, mittens), sweaters, cardigans or chunky warm blankets. The yarn is very soft, warm, not itchy. Excellent yarn for beginners!

  • Fiber: 100% Australian merino wool (21 microns)
  • Meterage: 80-90 meters (87-98 yards) per 200 gram ball
  • Yarn weight: Super Chunky / Super Bulky / Yarn Weight 6
  • Thickness of a yarn: approx. 5-7 mm
  • Yarn details: Roving type yarn with a slight twist
  • Average tension: 7 stitches + 9 rows per 10 cm / 4 (using 15 mm needles)
  • Recommended needles: 10-12 mm (for beanies), 12-15 mm (for scarves, snoods, sweaters, cardigans)

Care
  • Gentle hand wash (with a cool water, without any agitation, lay flat to dry) is available.
  • Washing machine is also possible (using cold water only, delicate/wool cycle, without agitation, air dry only). But note that washing in a machine will make yarn a little thinner, harder to touch, some softness will be lost. ​
