Discover HELLO MERINO Peruvian Wool Yarn — a new limited test batch created for quick, cozy knitting and crochet projects. This super bulky yarn comes in 200 g / 80 m skeins and is ideal for hats, scarves, cowls, sweaters, cardigans and blankets. The yarn has a soft, lofty feel and a bold chunky look that works beautifully in simple stitches and textured designs.

If you loved the original HELLO MERINO, this new version offers a different higher wool quality while keeping the same statement texture and fast-project appeal. Limited quantities available while this trial batch lasts.

  • Color: Navy Blue
  • Fiber: 100% Highland Peruvian wool (merino wool 20 microns)
  • Meterage: 80 meters (87 yards) per 200 gram ball
  • Yarn weight: super Chunky / super bulky / Yarn Weight 6
  • Thickness of a yarn: approx. 5-7 mm
  • Yarn details: Roving type yarn with a slight twist
  • Average tension: 7 stitches + 9 rows per 10 cm / 4 (using 15 mm needles)
  • Recommended needles: 10-12 mm (for beanies), 12-15 mm (for scarves, snoods, sweaters, cardigans)
  • Care: hand wash with a cool water and without any agitation. Lay flat to dry.

Stockinette stitch (using 15 mm needles): 7 stitches + 9 rows per 10 cm / 4 inches

Needles recommendations
  • 10-12 mm (for beanies, mittens, socks)
  • 12-15 mm (for scarves, snoods, sweaters, cardigans)
  • 15 mm and more for blankets.

  • Hats & Beanies – 1 ball (200 grams)
  • Cowls - 1 ball for a circle snood, 2 balls for infinity cowl /scarf
  • Scarves – 2-8 balls (depending on a size)
  • Sweaters and cardigans  – 4– 8 balls (depending on a size)
  • Blanket 65x145 cm (26x56,5 inches) - approx. 4 balls (800 grams)
  • Blanket 125x125 cm (49x49 inches) - approx. 9 balls (1,8 kg)
Blocking

This yarn does not necessarily need to be blocked after knitting. The yarn opens up the texture during the knitting. Knit and enjoy the garment!

Care

Tender hand wash with a cool water and without any agitation. Lay flat to dry.
