Chunky scarf for women or men. Hand knitted from soft Italian 100% merino wool. Complete your winter look by pairing this fringed scarf with any beanie from our collections in a matching color.

  • Fiber- 100% extra fine merino wool 18,5 microns (Italy)
  • Fringes finish - The scarf is decorated with fringes about 15 cm / 6 inches each from both sides of the scarf (additionally to the scarf length).
  • Color options - It is possible to make scarf and fringes in two or three colors (please, write 2 or 3 colors and the type of their combination in a note to the order if you want the scarf to be multicolored.)

Yarn Details

Our chunky yarn is 100% handmade. It is hand-spun from 100% extra fine merino wool 18,5 microns from Italy. It is the best and premium merino quality in a market known for its extra softness and silkiness. It is a single ply, popular roving type yarn with a slight twist. Merino yarn goes through all necessary stages from fiber preparation to a spinning on a spinning wheel and washing to make lightly felted. This helps to fix the form of the yarn and get smooth textured surface with a unique look and soft feel. It allows knitwear to be more practical, prevents pilling and shedding.

Merino Wool Origin and Certifications
  • Extra fine merino wool tops used to the production of our wool come from both Australia and South America and are carefully selected in Italian factory to ensure constant quality over time.
  • Additionally, being of animal origin, the extra fine Merino wool top is biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly.
  • All lots are MULESING FREE. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in a dyeinghouse in Italy which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.

Care
  • Gentle hand wash (with a cool water, without any agitation, lay flat to dry). But note that the garments of bigger size may be rather heavy to wash them by hands.
  • Washing machine is also possible (using cold water only, delicate/wool cycle, without agitation, air dry only). But note that washing in a machine will make yarn thinner, harder to touch, some softness will be lost. ​
