Description

Cropped knit sweater hand knitted from soft Italian extra-fine merino wool in a colorful striped design. This lightly oversized sweater has a cropped length, round ribbed neckline and relaxed raglan sleeves, creating a soft, playful handmade silhouette.

This sweater is now available in several knit pattern options. The main photos show the original Moss / Seed Stitch version, but you can also choose Garter Stitch or Stockinette Stitch for a different texture and look.

The fit, cropped shape, neckline, stripes and raglan sleeve options remain the same for all versions — only the main knit pattern changes. The stitch sample photo shows the available textures, so you can choose the version that feels most like your style.

You can choose between 3/4 sleeves, as shown in the photos, or long sleeves for a warmer and more classic sweater fit. The 3/4 sleeve version feels lighter and works especially well with high-waisted jeans or skirts, while the long sleeve version is cozier and more practical for colder weather.

The sweater can be knitted in one solid color or in a custom combination of 2 to 4 colors from our merino wool palette. For the striped version, the colors are placed from top to bottom: Color 1 at the neckline and upper body, then Color 2, Color 3 and Color 4 at the hem and cuffs.

The sample shown in the photos is knitted in a pastel color block combination: Tulle, Lily of the Valley, Etoile and Twilight. You can choose the same soft pastel palette or create your own combination from 70+ available merino colors.

Our chunky yarn is 100% handmade. It is hand-spun from 100% extra fine merino wool 18,5 microns from Italy. It is the best and premium merino quality in a market known for its extra softness and silkiness. It is a single ply, popular roving type yarn with a slight twist. Merino yarn goes through all necessary stages from fiber preparation to a spinning on a spinning wheel and washing to make lightly felted. This helps to fix the form of the yarn and get smooth textured surface with a unique look and soft feel. It allows knitwear to be more practical, prevents pilling and shedding.

Merino Wool Origin and Certifications
  • Extra fine merino wool tops used to the production of our wool come from both Australia and South America and are carefully selected in Italian factory to ensure constant quality over time.
  • Additionally, being of animal origin, the extra fine Merino wool top is biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly.
  • All lots are MULESING FREE. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in a dyeinghouse in Italy which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.

Care
  • Professional dry cleaning once a season is recommended.
  • For everyday care, gently air the sweater after wearing and store it folded, not hanging, to help keep its shape.
  • A fabric shaver is recommended to gently refresh the surface when light pilling appears. This is normal for soft natural merino wool, especially in areas of friction such as the sleeves, sides and underarms. Regular gentle shaving helps keep the sweater looking neat, clean and well maintained.
  • Gentle hand washing in cool water is possible if needed. Use a mild wool detergent. Do not rub, twist or agitate the sweater. Gently press out excess water in a towel and lay flat to dry. Please note that chunky wool becomes heavy when wet.
  • Machine washing is possible only on a very gentle wool cycle in cool water, with low or no spin. It may change the original look and feel of the yarn: the stitches may become more compact, and the sweater may lose some of its soft chunky volume. For best results, professional dry cleaning or gentle hand washing is recommended.
  • Do not bleach, tumble dry or use fabric softener.
