Scarf and beanie set hand knitted from soft super chunky merino wool for an oversized, cozy winter look. This set combines two of our most loved winter accessories: the oversized chunky knit scarf and the chunky ribbed beanie, both made in the same color for a bold monochrome statement. 

The scarf is knitted from our thickest Merino Maxi yarn and has a dramatic oversized texture with giant stitches. The matching ribbed beanie is knitted from a slightly thinner chunky merino yarn, adding warmth and balance to the look without making the set too heavy. It creates a ready-to-wear winter look for cold weather, gifting and statement styling.

The set price already includes 10% off compared to buying the scarf and beanie separately, making it an easy way to complete a matching winter look.

Yarn Details

Our chunky yarn is 100% handmade. It is hand-spun from 100% extra fine merino wool 18,5 microns from Italy. It is the best and premium merino quality in a market known for its extra softness and silkiness. It is a single ply, popular roving type yarn with a slight twist. Merino yarn goes through all necessary stages from fiber preparation to a spinning on a spinning wheel and washing to make lightly felted. This helps to fix the form of the yarn and get smooth textured surface with a unique look and soft feel. It allows knitwear to be more practical, prevents pilling and shedding.

Merino Wool Origin and Certifications
  • Extra fine merino wool tops used to the production of our wool come from both Australia and South America and are carefully selected in Italian factory to ensure constant quality over time.
  • Additionally, being of animal origin, the extra fine Merino wool top is biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly.
  • All lots are MULESING FREE. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in a dyeinghouse in Italy which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.

Beanie sizes

Beanie is available in 2 sizes:

  • Standard size fits head circumferences 55–58 cm
  • Larger size for head circumference 58–60 cm, for larger heads, men's sizing, for curls or looser fit.
  • Depth: Approximately 30 cm / 11.8 inches
  • Weight - approx. 200-250 grams
  • For a perfect fit, you may leave a note at checkout with your head circumference and desired beanie depth and fit.
Care
  • Professional dry cleaning once a season is recommended for best long-term care.
  • For everyday care, gently air the scarf and beanie after wearing and store them folded, not hanging.
  • A fabric shaver is a must-have for keeping chunky merino wool knitwear looking fresh. Light pilling may appear with wear, especially in areas of friction, and this is normal for soft natural wool. Use a fabric shaver gently to remove pills and refresh the surface.
  • Gentle hand washing in cool water is possible if needed. Do not rub, twist or agitate the knitwear. Lay flat to dry. Please note that chunky wool becomes very heavy when wet, especially larger items.
  • Machine washing is possible only on a very gentle wool cycle in cool water, but it is not recommended if you want to preserve the original chunky texture. Machine washing may slightly felt the yarn, make the stitches look more compact, and reduce the soft, airy volume of the set.
