Description

Bobble hat hand knitted from soft extra-fine merino wool for a warm, cozy winter look. This chunky ribbed beanie is made in a seamless 1×1 rib stitch and finished with a detachable wool pompom for a playful statement style.

The hat has a folded brim, soft chunky texture and a comfortable stretchy fit. It is warm enough for cold winter days, but still soft and breathable thanks to the premium merino wool. 

  • Fiber - 100% extra-fine merino wool, 18.5 microns, Italy
  • Style - chunky ribbed bobble hat with folded brim
  • Pompom - сhoose from a large (approx. 13-15cm / 5-6 inches in diameter), medium (approx. 10 cm / 4 inches) or small (approx. 7 cm / 3 inches) detachable wool pompom. Small and medium pompoms may be made fluffy as a standard option, or not fluffy by custom request (not fluffy option is shown on photos with brown Coffee beanie and bright blue Dream beanie).
  • Colors - the hat and pompom can be made in one color or in a custom contrast combination. If you would like the pompom in another color, please leave a note at checkout.
  • Fit - soft, warm and stretchy, suitable for women and unisex styling

Yarn Details

Our chunky yarn is 100% handmade. It is hand-spun from 100% extra fine merino wool 18,5 microns from Italy. It is the best and premium merino quality in a market known for its extra softness and silkiness. It is a single ply, popular roving type yarn with a slight twist. Merino yarn goes through all necessary stages from fiber preparation to a spinning on a spinning wheel and washing to make lightly felted. This helps to fix the form of the yarn and get smooth textured surface with a unique look and soft feel. It allows knitwear to be more practical, prevents pilling and shedding.

Merino Wool Origin and Certifications
  • Extra fine merino wool tops used to the production of our wool come from both Australia and South America and are carefully selected in Italian factory to ensure constant quality over time.
  • Additionally, being of animal origin, the extra fine Merino wool top is biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly.
  • All lots are MULESING FREE. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is done in a dyeinghouse in Italy which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.

Beanie size

Beanie is available in 2 sizes:

  • Standard size fits most women's heads 55–58 cm
  • Larger size for head circumference 58–60 cm, for larger heads, men's sizing, for curls or looser fit.
  • Depth: Approximately 30 cm / 11.8 inches
  • Weight - approx. 250-300 grams
  • For a perfect fit, you may leave a note at checkout with your head circumference and desired beanie depth and fit.
Care
  • Gentle hand wash (with a cool water, without any agitation, lay flat to dry).
  • Washing machine is also possible (using cold water only, delicate/wool cycle, without agitation, air dry only). But note that washing in a machine will make yarn thinner, harder to touch, some softness will be lost. ​
